Food Contact Surfaces
Alpet® No-Rinse Quat Sanitizer is a dilutable sanitizer that can be used on both food contact surfaces and non-food surfaces. When properly diluted it has an effective broad spectrum kill claim and wider sanitization range.
A common practice is to implement an easy spray application for maximum convenience. Simply dilute Alpet® No-Rinse Quat Sanitizer in a spray bottle and use on hard nonporous surfaces such as toilet bowls, tables, floors, a mop bucket, food contact surfaces and odor causing areas. It is a very versatile disinfectant cleaner that is EPA registered.
While there is no rinsing required, you can rest assured that Alpet® No-Rinse Quat Sanitizer is not dangerous as a disinfectant cleaner. Some people do have low tolerance for quat sanitizers. Some people claim irritation on skin and in the nose that makes them ill after prolonged quat exposure. While the risks are minimal, we have other options such as our Alpet D2 Sanitizer, Alpet D2 Quat Free Sanitizer and the ever popular Alpet D2 Sanitizing wipes.
Garbage Storage Areas
In your home or business, garbage cans and garbage bins can provide odors that are more than a problem. Those odors are often caused by organic materials that are taken over by odor-causing bacteria.
Our quat sanitizer is ideal for cleaning and sanitizing garbage storage areas, garbage bins, toilet bowls and any other hard nonporous surfaces in odor causing areas.
Deodorize Garbage Storage Areas
People try a variety of odd things in order to deodorize garbage storage areas. We hear of methods ranging from adding charcoal, cat litter, baking soda, and even dryer sheets at the bottom of your garbage bins. These methods might help absorb odors, but they do not properly take care of the root of the problem.
Alpet Quat Sanitizer is an effective sanitizer and deodorizer in one formula. This product will eliminate odors at their source and provide a long-lasting impact as it starts to deodorize garbage storage areas. Alpet Quat Sanitizer can be used on toilets, urinals, drains, garbage cans and other hard nonporous surfaces for effective cleaning and disinfecting. Make sure you take care of all areas in your garage such as drains, air conditioning pans and hard to reach corners.
Third Sink Sanitizer Application
Restaurants and many other establishments are often seeking sanitizer for 3 compartment sink implementations. Alpet No-Rinse Quat Sanitizer provides a wide sanitization range with maximum convenience. It is very versatile in every kitchen or bar as a general cleaner but especially in a third sink sanitizer application.
Drain Quat Sanitizer
Quat sanitizers are a popular choice for drains and rubber, as they provide a broad spectrum kill against most organisms. Quats also have residual benefits that often last up to 24 hours after application.
We have seen Alpet Quat Sanitizer used on drains, grease traps, rubber footwear and other hard nonporous surfaces in kitchens and busy bars. Simply put, it has multiple uses due to its wider sanitization range. Just make sure you use the correct dilution ratio so that your area is properly sanitized and disinfected.
Other Areas
Our Alpet No-Rinse Quat Sanitizer provides effective cleaning and sanitizing in areas where other products fail or are cost-prohibitive. This versatile product can be used in a variety of applications such as food contact surface cleaning, drain sanitization and rubber footwear sanitation.

Many establishments have a variety of odor-causing areas that impact equipment and humans health. It is vital to disinfect these areas with EPA registered chemicals. Versatility is key as long as you get familiar with dilution rates of these chemicals. Using the proper equipment and making sure you are mixed to proper solution rates is critical to protect adults and children. Exposure to pesticides, bleach and disinfectants can cause issues with skin and can create safety concerns.
When used properly, our concentrated quat is an excellent disinfectant with low toxicity and it is not dangerous. However, do not mix it with other chemicals such as detergents. This can create toxic fumes and cause issues with safety and unnecessary risk. The use of quat disinfectants is to protect humans from germs such as harmful microbes, viruses and the growth of molds. Use them properly to protect your health and do not mix disinfectants and create toxicity issues.
If you are seeking a dilutable, no-rinse surface sanitizer for food contact surfaces and non-food contact surfaces with broad spectrum cleaning agents, then Alpet No-Rinse Quat Sanitizers is perfect for you.
Surfaces in food processing areas can get contaminated by bacteria like Salmonella and Norovirus. So, it’s important to clean and sanitize them often with a foodservice surface sanitizer spray. A good idea is to sanitize whenever there is a chance of contamination and at least every four hours. Use the right amount, which is usually a few fluid ounces per gallon of water, and rinse if needed. The cleaning frequency may change based on the product you use and how you apply it.
A quats positive charge actually helps it bind to bacteria, virus, and other microorganisms that cause disease (all of which have a negative charge). By doing this, the germ's cell walls are disrupted which ultimately leads to its destruction. To completely disinfect or sanitize a surface, quats must be in contact with that surface for a certain length of time. This time varies depending on the product and application method, so always double-check the instructions on labels.
Quats are ammonium salts that have a positively-charged nitrogen atom at their center. This basic molecule can be modified in many different ways to create quat-based compounds, which are then used as sanitizers and disinfectants. (Note: Quats have NO ODOR. Ammonium is not ammonia.)
Alpet No-Rinse Quat Sanitizer is one of the most versatile chemicals as it is used to disinfect in government buildings, hospital applications, restaurant use, open air market applications. It can be made into an easy spray and into a disinfectant wipe for walls and tables. This provides a tremendous advantage in areas where health questioned by being exposed to microbes.
Both quat-free sanitizers and cleaners consisting of quat are safe to use. However, there are differences in each solution and their acceptable locations of use. A quat sanitizer is composed of stronger active ingredients in order to kill a broader range of microbes.
It's highly recommended to use a quat-free based sanitizer in facilities that contain dairy, produce yeast, use dry processors, handle water sensitive equipment and export to the EU.
Contact to sensitive parts of the body may result in a stinging feeling or slight irritation. This irritation is treatable. If contact has been made with the eyes, a convenient and fast solution would be gently rinsing the eye with water as soon as possible. It may take 15 to 20 minutes to recover. If inhaled or swallowed, get some fresh air and breathe slowly.
If conditions still persist, call your doctor for medical attention.
This product does not require gloves to be worn when sanitizing high touch, hard surfaces. If you have sensitive skin, you may want to consider wearing gloves simply as a precaution. More information about allergens and active ingredients are included in the precautionary statements below.
Surface sanitizer is extremely important for the safety of any public facility, food processing facility, office or restaurant. It prevents the growth of bacteria from spreading on the surface and to food. A food contact surface sanitizer quickly kills pathogens and viruses such as salmonella and norovirus. Food borne illnesses can spread rapidly into the body if surface areas have not been sanitized efficiently.
